SkyFusion Pak Approved for Installation in Canada

July 18, 2012 — SkyFusion Pak, the advanced aerial imaging system for commercial and military aircraft is approved for installation in Canada. In conjunction with U.S. FAA STC approval, SkyIMD meets all criteria for certification and installation on 30 models of Cessna aircraft in Canada.

This approval will allow operators in Canada to take advantage of the company’s turnkey aerial imaging solution for mission-critical and technically-demanding applications including border patrol, law enforcement, disaster response, and search and rescue. The STC approval applies to C206, C182, C172 and C152 aircraft models.

“Our customers, especially those in law enforcement and government agencies, are often working within tight budgets,” said Henri Wolf, director of product marketing. “Purchasing a SkyFusion Pak system that has local approvals for installation can save aircraft owners and operators weeks of time and a lot of money.”

In addition to approval in Canada, the SkyFusion Pak system has received certification from the FAA, EASA, and agencies in Australia, Brazil and Mexico.

Key features of the SkyFusion Pak aerial imaging system include:

  • Lightweight (21 pounds)
  • Typical installation completed in one day
  • STC FAA-approved
